Social Media and First Impressions

When people market their business on social media, many people don’t think about the first thing that people see of their business: their page.  When you are marketing your business on social media, you need to be sure that the people that see your business will have a good first impression.  Here are a few things that you need to consider when you are trying to make a good first impression on someone that is seeing your page on social media:

Profile Picture

When you are on social media, one of the first things that people see is your profile picture.  Be sure that yours is a representation of your business and your brand.  What would you want people to see first of yourself?  Your face, probably.  Be sure that you either use a logo, or a picture of yourself depending on how you would like to brand yourself.  Be sure that the image is good quality, and if it is a picture of your face, be sure that it is well done.

Cover Photo

Your cover photo gives your profile personality.  Use it for all that it’s worth.  Promote yourself and make your page look good with it.  Many cover photos are underused and have lots of room for improvement.

Recent Posts

What you post is a direct reflection of your brand.  Be sure that when you are posting on social media that you think about how you are branding yourself and what you want people to think of your brand.

Your bio is the part that convinces people to follow you.  It tells them about you, and that means that it needs to be well written.  Be sure that you are creative and enticing in how you write your bio.

I hope that this article helps you do better on social media. If you liked it, feel free to share it with your friends and remember to be great and never settle for anything less.
